 New Clubs

Dales Council NewsThe league would like to welcome 2 new clubs. Tong Manor are newly formed and will be based at Farnley Hill''''s ground and Saville Stars who will have 2 teams and have joined from the now folded Leeds West Riding League.

Cookridge will also be adding 2 additional teams who were also in the Leeds West Riding last season to the 1 existing team they already have in the league.

 Rule Changes

Dales Council News
Some new rule changes have been introduced for the 2010 season. Thankfully some of the crackpot ideas that were being discussed have not made it in but still there are some interesting changes for the new season, the main ones being:

  • League point scoring including bonus points
  • Maximum 12 overs per bowler
  • Notification of results to the league secretary
  • Changes to player eligibility on Sunday league games
The following link has some more detail although it only lists the changes, when the new league handbooks are issued things should become clearer.
